Who Is This For?
StoreHub merchants who need to identify, set up, reset, or troubleshoot the WiFi router used with their POS system.
Overview
This article covers all StoreHub-supported routers: Mikrotik and TP-Link. You will learn how to identify your router model, reset and reconfigure it, and fix weak WiFi signal issues. Your router connects your POS register, receipt printer, and other devices to the network.
For connecting your register to the router, see here. For setting a static IP address on your register, see here.
Before You Begin
Your router is connected to a power source and turned on.
You have access to a computer or device with a web browser (for TP-Link configuration).
You have the WiFi password provided by StoreHub (or contact StoreHub Support if you do not have it).
Step-by-Step Guide
Identify Your Router
StoreHub provides several router models. Use the images below to identify which router you have.
Mikrotik Routers
Note:
For the Mikrotik M-hAP ac3-R, make sure the antenna is tightened to the device before switching on.
TP-Link

Mikrotik router configuration and resetting must be done by StoreHub Support.
1. Contact StoreHub Support via live chat for help with configuring or resetting your Mikrotik router.
WiFi Name and Password (Mikrotik)
WiFi name (SSID): .StoreHub_CloudPos
If you are unsure about the WiFi password, contact StoreHub Support to retrieve it.

10. If you are unsure about the WiFi password, contact StoreHub Support via live chat.
11. Connect your POS register to the newly configured WiFi. See this article for connection steps.
Troubleshooting
Weak WiFi Signal
Issue | Solution |
WiFi signal is weak at the register | Move the router closer to your POS register if possible. |
Interference from other devices | Make sure the router is not near devices with electromagnetic fields, such as TVs or microwaves. |
Metal objects blocking signal | Remove or move any metal or magnetic materials close to the router. |
Large store with poor coverage | Consider installing a mesh WiFi device to extend the signal range. |
Connection Issues
Issue | Solution |
Register cannot connect to WiFi after router reset | Make sure you are connecting to the correct WiFi name (.StoreHub_5G or Storehub). Double-check the password. |
Printer not found after router reset | Reconnect the printer LAN cable to the router. Restart the printer and register. See this article for steps. |
Router page not loading in browser | Make sure you are connected to the router's WiFi. Try a different browser. For TP-Link, use http://tplinkwifi.net. |
Internet connected but POS not syncing | Check that the WAN cable from your internet service provider is connected to the WAN port on the router. Restart the router and wait for it to fully boot before testing. |
