What You Will Learn in This Guide
This article will guide you on how to set up serial numbers so that it is recognised in the inventory stock list.
Important Notes
This feature is only available for POS transactions and is not supported for Webstore orders.
Setting Up Serial Number
Refer to the following steps to learn how to set up Serial Numbers for each of your items.
1. In the BackOffice, click on Products.
2. Choose the Product you wish to track using Serialized inventory type.
3. On the Product Page, scroll down to Inventory & Variants section and tick Track Stock Level; choose Serialized and hit Save.
Notes:
After you hit Save, a table will be displayed showing the quantity for each store.
You could also generated a barcode number tied to the product to ease the search for your cashiers.
4. On the table, look out for Manage Serial Numbers; you will be required to key in the Serial Numbers for the individual items you have in stock.
Example: If you're selling an iPhone 20, you can create the barcode for the product then add in the serial numbers for the individual phones you have in stock.
POS View
When you scan the product's barcode, a pop-up will appear for you to Select Serial Number of the specific item.
After selecting the serial number, it will be displayed in the transaction column.
