Cashback: How Does It Work

Learn how your customers claim and redeem Cashback

What you will learn in this guide

  • This article contains the flow which your customer will go through in order to claim Cashback vouchers at your business.

  • For new Cashback users you must enable Membership to use Cashback, refer to this article for more information.


How does Beep Cashback work for in-store purchases

Claiming Cashback

1. After making a purchase, your customer receives a receipt with a QR code

2. Upon scanning the code, they must key their mobile phone numbers to claim their Cashback

3. Immediately, the Cashback will be credited to their Beep accounts to be spent on their next visit

Redeeming Cashback

1. Cashback can be applied during checkout

2. At the Register, your cashier will enter the customer's phone number in the Register to retrieve their Cashback balance

Notes:

  • If you have QR Display for Loyalty Redemption enabled, your customer simply needs to scan the QR code that appears on your Register. (This feature is available in Malaysia Only)

3. If the customer wishes to redeem their cashback, your cashier must tap the Beep Cashback section in the order cart, just above the order total

4. Enable Use Cashback - all of the customer's Cashback will be utilised once payment is made

Note: Note: Customers can still place an order without logging in (Guest checkout); the Beep App will prompt them to verify their phone numbers after an order is placed to collect cashback.

5. Customer records are synced to your BackOffice; you will be able to see customers' online and offline purchase histories


How Beep Cashback works for Online Store Purchases

1. Customers must log in by entering their phone numbers phone to claim cashback

Note: Customers can still place an order without logging in (Guest checkout); the Beep App will prompt them to verify their phone numbers after an order is placed to collect cashback.

2. Cashback will be applied as a discount during checkout and earned automatically after the transaction is paid.

4. Cashback also works in the Philippines and Thailand where we support offline payment during checkout. Cashback will only be deducted/granted when the transaction is updated to 'Paid'.

5. Online Store customer records are in sync with your account. You will be able to see customers' purchase histories across the online and offline channels.

6. Only Cashback is supported, Store Credit is NOT supported for your Online Store.
