Setting up Order & Pay Later for your store
To enable the Order & Pay Later option for QR Order and Pay in your store(s), follow these steps:
1. Enable your QR Order and Pay menu by going to the Online Orders drop down menu, then clicking QR Order and Pay. Toggle on the Enable QR Order and Pay settings.
2. Scroll down to QR Order and Pay Payment Setting - you'll be able to enable pay later by toggling on the option. Assign the stores you want to offer the Pay Later option.
3. Once you have enabled Pay Later, all dine-in QR orders will no longer follow a pay first operational flow (see video above for detailed explanation) but Pay Later instead
How Pay Later Works For Your Customers
Here is the step-by-step ordering flow your customers will follow once you have Pay Later enabled:
1. After scanning the QR code, customers will be able to view the menu and table number. They can proceed to add items to the cart
2. From the cart page, customers will be able to add any notes or special instructions before placing their order
3. Once a customer select Place Order the kitchen docket will be printed and you can start preparing their order
and
4. After placing the order, customers will be directed to a Table Summary where they can:
See that their order has been placed.
View the order details.
Add additional items to their cart.
5. Once they have finished dining, on the Table Summary page, customers can proceed to Pay Now
6. Customers will then choose a payment method and proceed to checkout accordingly
7. After payment method confirmation, the order will be locked to ensure payment consistency
Note: After an order is locked, it can be edited from the POS, but not via Beep Apps.
How Pay Later Works In Your Point Of Sale (POS) System
I. Without Table Layout
When a Beep Pay Later order is placed, it should show up at the POS open order page
Note: If order has been placed, any add on order will be reflected immediately.
II. With Table Layout
When a Beep Pay Later order is placed, tap the refresh button next to Table Layout to have the order assigned to the respective tables
III. Open Orders
Here is a step-by-step guide on the Pay Later ordering flow from your POS system, as well as insights on your POS's capabilities when handling Pay Later orders
1. Once a customer has placed an order, the kitchen docket will be printed
The order will appear in your POS system in Open Orders, where you will be able to see the table and order number.
You can now start preparing their order.
You can access Open Orders in your POS system by clicking on Orders on the main page or the three dots.
2. If you click on a customer's Pay Later order in Open Orders, it will take you to the register page where you can:
Cancel an entire order by clicking on the Dustbin icon
Click on an item, and can reduce the item count of an item in the order
Click on an item, and can delete an item in the order
3. If a customer chooses to checkout using Pay at Counter, make sure to verify their table and order number before accepting any form of payment.
4. The customer who placed the Pay Later order will have their phone number displayed in POS; use this to contact them if needed.
If there are two orders on the same table QR, who collects the Cashback?
1. Customer A and Customer B have placed their orders using the same table QR
2. When Customer A proceeds to pay via the Beep payment page, Customer A earns the Cashback
3. If Customer B proceeds to pay at the Beep payment page, Customer B earns the Cashback instead
4. if the customer opts to pay at the counter, whoever decides to pay should scan the QR code and tap Pay at Counter on the payment page so their customer data will be assigned to the order
5. Otherwise, Cashback will be credited to the first customer who placed the first order
