What are Self-Pickup and Takeaway Notifications

If you would like to implement a self-pickup and takeaway policy at your business, this feature allows your cashier to send customers a notification on their phones when orders are ready.

If a consumer installs the Beep App, they will receive a push notification via the app; otherwise, consumers will receive an SMS notification instead.

How to enable Self-Pickup and Takeaway Notifications

1. On your BackOffice, under the Online Orders tab, click into QR Order and Pay.

2. Click on the Store Setting tab, and select designated store.

3. Under the Fulfillment Method, tick boxes of Delivery and Pick-up.

4. At the Beep Settings section, tick box of Enable Customer Self-Pick up alert.

How does it work?

When the order is ready, your cashier will refer to the kitchen docket and find it in the Transactions tab on your POS register.

Then, tap Order Ready to send the alert to the customer.

Your customers will receive a notification on their smartphones and that completes the transaction.

Then, tap on Order Ready to send the alert to the customer.

Below is an example of how alerts will appear on your customers’ smartphones:

b) Pick Up

When the customer has picked up the order, your cashier will refer to the kitchen docket and find it in the Transactions tab on your POS register.

Then, tap on Picked Up” to send the alert to the customer that the order has been picked up.
