POS Basic: How to Change Table for POS & QR Order

Change table for POS and Beep QR open orders.

What You Will Learn in This Guide

  • How to change the table when after a consumer places a POS & QR order and Pay. (formerly Beep QR)


Important Notes

  • This feature applies for POS orders & QR Order and Pay orders only, not Beep Delivery orders.

  • Changing table numbers can only be done for Open orders or before payment is made.


Change table via Table Layout

1. Go to your table layout page to view all tables occupied

2. Tap on the 3 dot menu in the top right corner to choose Move Order.

3. Select a table that you want to change; after choosing the tables, they turn orange

4. Choose a table that your customer wishes to move to; you can select one of the tables selected or an empty table.

Notes:

  • You cannot move QR orders to a table that already has a QR order.

  • You can move orders to a table that has multiple POS orders.

5. Table has successfully been changed.

6. Only applicable for QR orders.

After the table has been relocated successfully, both the user and the consumer will receive a notification.

Note: Customers can scan the QR code on the new table to proceed with their order.

Consumer View:


Change table via POS Layout

1. At the table layout page, select a table that is to be moved.

2. Tap on the Open Order.

3. Tap on the 3 dot menu button on the top right corner to choose Move Order.

4. Select the preferred table to move the order to.

5. After a table is selected, you will be directed to the POS layout page to review items; then, tap Save.

6. Order be moved successfully.


Kitchen Dockets Will Reflect Table Change

1. When a customer changes tables, a new kitchen docket will be printed.

2. The docket will show a strikethrough of the original table number and the new table number will be shown next to it.

3. If you have Print Order Summary enabled, a new order summary will also be printed.

Note: New dockets will not be printed when orders are split.
