What You Will Learn in This Guide

  • How to set up more than one kitchen printer to have different products printed at different printers or assign all your products to a specified kitchen printer.

Set Up Kitchen Stations

1. In your BackOffice, click Settings.

2. Click on the F&B tab.

3. Scroll down and locate the section for Kitchen Stations and enter the name of your printer in the corresponding column, then hit Save.

Note: Avoid using special characters in the printer station names for consistency.

Example: If the printer prints orders for bar drinks, name it Bar.

4. In the Default Kitchen Station section, select the designated printer. This will be automatically assigned to your products.

Note: Do not name kitchen printer as Receipt as it will affect receipt settings.

Set Up Kitchen Station for Products

1. In your BackOffice, click on Products and select the desired product.

2. On the desired Product page, scroll to the bottom and look for the Kitchen Station section.

3. If a default printer is assigned in your settings, the kitchen printer on the product page will automatically be set as your default printer.

Notes:

  • To change the printer, click on the current printer, select the designated printer for the product, and then click Save.

  • If you have not set up your default kitchen printer, refer to the Set Up Kitchen Station section in this article. After making assignments, sync changes via the POS app to ensure they are applied throughout your system.

Order Summary (Click to expand)

The Order Summary feature in StoreHub POS allows consolidated order details to be printed for kitchen preparation stations or receipt printers. By adjusting your settings in the BackOffice, you can enable or disable this feature and assign printers for specific order types (e.g., bar orders or kitchen tickets).

Enabling or Disabling Order Summary Printing

Steps to Enable the Order Summary:

1. Go to BackOffice > Settings.

2. Open the F&B tab.

3. Scroll down to the Kitchen Stations section.

4. Under "Print Order Summary To," select the desired output option, such as Receipt Printer.

5. Click Save.

6. Sync your StoreHub POS to apply the changes.

Steps to Disable the Order Summary:

1. Log in to the BackOffice settings.

Configuring Printer-Specific Settings

To route Order Summaries to a specific printer, such as for bar orders or a Sunmi printer, follow these steps:

1. Access BackOffice > Settings > F&B.

2. Scroll to the Kitchen Stations section.

3. Under the "Print Order Summary To" column, assign the respective station name (e.g., "Kitchen" or "Drinks").

4. Save the settings and sync your StoreHub POS.

Print Multiple Copies of Kitchen Dockets (Click to expand)

  • Print same kitchen dockets on multiple printers simultaneously.

Example: Toggle ON Kitchen on both 1st & 2nd printer to print kitchen orders. Once kitchen order came in, same kitchen docket will be printed on both 1st & 2nd kitchen printers.

  • Print multiple same kitchen dockets on 1 printer.

Example: 1st Printer has been assigned to print bar order. If a 5-mug beer set has been ordered, 5 kitchen dockets will be printed on 1st Printer. Refer to this article to learn more on the settings.

FAQ

1. Why is the Order Summary not printing correctly?

This might occur due to incorrect printer routing or misconfiguration in the system. Double-check the following:

  • Ensure "Print Order Summary" is assigned to the intended printer in BackOffice settings.

  • Save your changes and sync your StoreHub POS.

2. How do I stop duplicate Order Summaries?

If you encounter duplicate 'Order Summary' print outs, log in to BackOffice and follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Settings > F&B.

2. Go to the Kitchen Stations section and set "Print Order Summary To" to a designated printer or click none.

3. Save the changes and sync your POS system.

3. Why are some products missing from my kitchen dockets?

This usually happens when a product isn't assigned to a kitchen station or the "Print Kitchen Docket" option is turned off.

To fix this, log in to your BackOffice, go to Products, and edit the product profile. From there, assign the product to the correct kitchen station and make sure the "Print Kitchen Docket" setting is enabled. Don't forget to Save and sync your POS system afterward.

4. How do I print a set menu across multiple kitchen and drink stations?

To make sure a combo or set menu prints correctly on different printers (like one for the kitchen and another for drinks), you'll need to create a new, specialized kitchen station.

1. In BackOffice, go to Settings > F&B > Kitchen Stations and create a new station (for example, "SET").

2. Assign this new "SET" station to the relevant set menu products and click Save.

3. Sync your POS system.

4. Finally, open the StoreHub POS app, go to your printer settings, and toggle on the new "SET" station for both your Kitchen and Drink printers.
