How to enable, reward, sell, redeem, and check the balance of your customers Store Credit.
Important Note
The Store Credits option will NOT be visible if Beep Cashback has been enabled.
Enabling Store Credits will convert Beep Cashback to Store Credits. You cannot use Beep Cashback and Store Credits simultaneously.
Store Credits are only available in our Advanced and Pro plans, and it's only applicable for POS transactions.
How to Disable Cashback
You need to disable Cashback before you can enable Store Credits.
1. In your BackOffice, click into Settings title page.
2. Under General tab, scroll down to Danger Zone.
3. Look for Disable Beep Cashback and click on Disable to proceed.
How to Enable Store Credits
1. In your BackOffice, click into Settings title page.
2. On the Account Settings page, click on the Store Credit tab.
3. In the Enable Store Credit field, select Yes.
How to Reward or Sell Store Credits
Customers can be given Store Credits in different ways:
Option 1: Set Default Store Credit Earning
1. Set a default store credit earning rate
Example: RM 1.00 spent equals RM1.00 Store Credit earned, or RM2.00 spent equals RM1.00 Store Credit earned.
Note: The amount of Store Credits earned is based on the subtotal of a transaction. Therefore, service charges, tax, and discounts do not contribute to earning Store Credits.
Option 2: Assign Store Credits to Products
1. In your BackOffice, go to Products, click on Manage Products
2. Select a product.
3. Scroll to the Store Credit section, and specify how much store credit to reward for this product.
4. Click Save; any time a customer purchases this item, they will be rewarded with credits.
Option 3: Purchase Store Credits
1. From your BackOffice, click in the Products title page.
2. Fill in the details accordingly.
Example: We will name the product called 50 Credits, and price it at RM50, and ensure it is not taxed.
3. Scroll to the Store Credit section, and specify the amount of Store Credit this product rewards.
4. Click Save.
Store Credits by Unit
1. You can also sell Store Credits by the unit, rather than as a bunch.
2. Set the Store Credit product's pricing type as By Unit,
3. Set the price as "1" per Credit.
This way, each time you select this product on the POS, you can specify the amount of Store Credits your customer wants to purchase.
Note:
To give store credits to a customer for free (like a gift or as compensation), just enter RM 0 as the price when adding the credits.
How to Check Store Credit Balance
There are multiple ways that you and your customer can find out the Store Credit balance in their account.
Merchants
Option 1: On the StoreHub App
1. On your POS Register, tap the Add Customer button just above the item cart.
2. Enter the customer's name or have them scan the QR code
Note: Scanning QR codes for loyalty redemption is a feature that must be enabled in the BackOffice. Read this article to learn more.
3. Once the customer's name appears in the Add Customer field, tap the customer's name to bring their Profile page.
Option 2. In the BackOffice
1. Go to Customers, then select a customer.
2. The Store Credit balance of the customer is displayed at the Purchase History section.
3. You can also see the Store Credit redemption and spending history by clicking the Store Credit tab at the bottom.
Customers
Option 3: SMS Notifications for Store Credits
1. You can set SMS Notifications to notify your customers of their Store Credit balance.
2. In your BackOffice, click into the Settings title page.
3. On the Account Settings page, click the Store Credit tab.
4. At SMS Notifications upon Changes, toggle ON the switch.
5. Then, click the Store Name link which will prompt you to select the stores at which Store Credit will be implemented; then click done.
How to Redeem / Spend Store Credits
1. Add the customer to the transaction by tapping Add Customer above the item cart.
2. After adding a product to the cart, tap on Store Credit, above the bill total.
3. Toggle Use Store Credit to redeem it for that transaction.
4. Tap the bill total, which will take you to the checkout page.
5. Complete the transaction by collecting payment.
