Accounting Software That Works with StoreHub: How to Connect or Export Your Sales

Who is this for?

StoreHub merchants who use an accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks Online, Bukku, Financio, SQL Account or AutoCount) and want their StoreHub sales in it.

Overview

StoreHub works with six accounting packages: Xero, QuickBooks Online, Bukku, Financio, SQL Account and AutoCount. They get your sales in three ways: after each shift closes, once a day, or from a file you export yourself. This article shows which is which, and links to the guide for each one.

The table below shows how each accounting package gets your StoreHub sales, and where you set it up.

Accounting software

How your sales get there

Where you set it up

Xero

Automatically. StoreHub sends one invoice for each closed shift on each register.

BackOffice: 'Settings', then 'Add-Ons', then 'Set Up' under Xero

QuickBooks Online

Automatically. StoreHub sends one invoice for each closed shift.

BackOffice: 'Settings', then 'Add-Ons', then 'Set Up' under QuickBooks

Bukku (Malaysia)

Automatically, once a day. Bukku collects your orders every midnight and turns each day's sales into one summary and invoice.

Financio (Malaysia)

Automatically, once a day, at the time you choose in Financio.

SQL Account

Manual export. You download a sales file from BackOffice and import it into SQL Account.

BackOffice: 'Settings', then 'Add-Ons', then 'Export sales data' under SQL

AutoCount

Manual export. You download a sales file from BackOffice and import it into AutoCount.

BackOffice: 'Settings', then 'Add-Ons', then 'Export sales data' under AutoCount

Nothing is sent in real time. Xero and QuickBooks Online get your sales after each shift closes. Bukku and Financio collect them once a day.

Online orders are not sent to Xero or QuickBooks Online. This covers Beep Delivery, Webstore and QR orders paid online.

Before You Begin

  • You are logged in to BackOffice.

  • For SQL Account and AutoCount: You have sales data to export.

  • For SQL Account and AutoCount: We recommend downloading the exported file onto a computer or laptop.

Step-by-Step Guide

Open Add-Ons and find your accounting system

1. In your BackOffice, open the 'Settings' dropdown menu.

2. Click 'Add-Ons'.

BackOffice Settings dropdown menu with Add-Ons option.

You will see 'Set Up' for QuickBooks Online and Xero, 'Export sales data' for SQL and AutoCount, and 'More Info' for Financio. Bukku is not listed, because you connect it from inside Bukku.

BackOffice Add-Ons page showing export buttons for SQL, AutoCount, Financio, Xero, and QuickBooks.

3. Click the button for the accounting software you use. For Bukku or Financio, go straight to its guide below.

Troubleshooting

The table below covers common problems when finding your accounting software in BackOffice.

Issue

Solution

I do not see 'Add-Ons' under Settings

Make sure you are logged in as a user with access to Settings. If you still do not see it, contact StoreHub Support.

I cannot find the button for my accounting software

Only Xero, QuickBooks Online, SQL and AutoCount have a set-up or export button. Financio shows 'More Info' only, and Bukku is not listed: you set both up inside that software, with credentials from StoreHub Care. If your software is not one of these six, contact StoreHub Support.

The exported file will not open in my accounting software

Download the file onto a computer or laptop and check that you have chosen the correct format for your system. Refer to the guide for your accounting system (see links above).

FAQs

1. Which accounting software works with StoreHub?

Six packages. Xero and QuickBooks Online connect in BackOffice and get your sales after each shift closes. Bukku and Financio (Malaysia) are set up inside Bukku or Financio and collect your sales once a day. SQL Account and AutoCount use a sales file that you export from BackOffice and import. ABSS is not supported.

2. Where should I save the exported file?

For SQL Account and AutoCount: We recommend downloading the exported sales data onto a computer or laptop so you can open it in your accounting software or upload it as required.

3. Do I need to export every day?

That depends on how your accounting system and your business work. You can export whenever you need to send sales data to your accountant or accounting software. This applies to SQL Account and AutoCount. Xero, QuickBooks Online, Bukku and Financio get your sales automatically.

4. Does StoreHub send my stock levels to my accounting software?

No, not to Xero or QuickBooks Online. StoreHub does not send stock levels or cost of goods sold (the cost of the items you sold) to them, and the SQL Account and AutoCount files do not include stock. For Bukku or Financio, check with Bukku or Financio support. You can track your stock in BackOffice under 'Stock Management'.
