Step-by-step instructions to assemble your POS device.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to assemble your POS device, connect it to power and your network, and set up essential peripherals. You can follow the video for your model or use the detailed written steps below.

Before You Begin

  • Your StoreHub network router is already set up and connected to the internet. It must be powered on before you start.

  • You have unboxed all your POS components and peripheral devices.

  • For D3 Pro users: You have the Allen key and screws provided in the box.

Step-by-Step Guide

Please find your POS model below and follow the corresponding written steps.

Part 1: Assemble and Power On Your POS Device

For Sunmi D3 Pro Users

1. Assemble the stand

Place the main stand onto the base plate, aligning the screw holes. Use the provided Allen key and screws to secure it tightly.

2. Attach Customer Facing Display (optional)

If you have a customer facing display, slide the main screen's back cover upwards to remove it. Gently slide the customer display into the slot until you hear a click.

3. Connect the power cable

Remove the cover from the front of the stand and carefully lay the D3 Pro down. Pass the power cable up through the opening in the stand and plug it securely into the power port.

4. Power on the device

Close the stand cover, connect the main cable to a power outlet, and press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the device on.

For iMin Falcon 1 Users

1. Connect the power cable

Connect the provided power cable to the power port on the underside or back of the device.

2. Power on the device

Plug the main cable into a power outlet, then press and hold the power button to turn the device on.

Part 2: Load Receipt Paper

For Sunmi D3 Pro Users (using an External Printer)

1. Connect printer to power and turn on

Connect the printer to its power adapter and plug it into a power outlet. Turn the printer on using its power switch.

2. Load receipt paper

Open the printer cover and insert a roll of receipt paper, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll.

3. Prepare the paper

With the paper extending slightly past the opening, press the 'Feed' button to advance the paper and tear off any excess.

4. Connect the printer to the D3 Pro

Using a USB cable, connect it to the Sunmi D3 Pro USB Port.

For iMin Falcon 1 Users (using the Integrated Printer)

1. Open the printer cover

Open the cover for the built-in printer on the Falcon's base.

2. Load receipt paper.

Insert a roll of receipt paper with the paper end extending past the opening. Close the cover, and the printer will automatically feed and cut the excess paper.

Part 3: Connect Your POS to the Network

This is the most important step to get right, as the connection method is different for each device.

For Sunmi D3 Pro Users

1. Connect LAN cable to D3 Pro.

Pass a LAN cable up through the stand and plug it into the 'LAN' port on your D3 Pro.

2. Connect LAN cable to router.

Connect the other end to a spare 'LAN' port on your router. Blinking lights on the router's port confirm a connection.

For iMin Falcon 1 Users

1. Connect LAN cable to Falcon

Plug one end of a LAN cable into the 'RJ45' (LAN) port on your iMin Falcon 1.

Connect the other end to a spare 'LAN' port on your router. Blinking lights on the router's port confirm a connection.

Part 4: Connect Your Cash Drawer

Note: The cash drawer connects to your external receipt printer, not the D3 Pro terminal itself.

For Sunmi D3 Pro Users

1. Connect the cash drawer cable

Locate the cash drawer's cable (RJ-11) and plug it securely into the port labeled on the back of your external receipt printer.

For iMin Falcon 1 Users

Note: The cash drawer connects directly to the Falcon terminal base, not an external printer.

1. Connect the cash drawer cable

Locate the cash drawer's cable (RJ-11) and plug it securely into the 'RJ-12' port on the iMin Falcon 1 terminal.

Part 5: Connect Other Optional Devices

These connection methods are the same for both D3 Pro and Falcon.

1. Connect an External Kitchen or Label Printer.

Connect the printer to a power source. Then, connect the printer directly to a spare 'LAN' port on your router using a LAN cable.

2. Connect a Webcam or USB Barcode Scanner.

Plug the device’s USB cable into any available 'USB' port on your D3 Pro or Falcon. For webcams, you can mount it on top of the screen.

FAQs

1. Where do I plug in my cash drawer?

This is different for each device.

  • For D3 Pro, plug the cash drawer into your external receipt printer.

  • For iMin Falcon 1, plug the cash drawer directly into the Falcon's base.

2. Can I use WiFi instead of a LAN cable?

Yes. While a wired (LAN) connection is recommended for stability, you can also connect to your network via WiFi. During the device's initial startup, you will be prompted to select a WiFi network and enter the password.

3. Do I need to buy a receipt printer for my iMin Falcon 1?

No, the iMin Falcon 1 includes a built-in receipt printer. You only need to purchase separate printers for other stations, like your kitchen or bar.
