Ways to Enroll Customers to Membership
There are several quick and easy ways for your customers to enroll in your Membership program.
1. Scan the QR Code on your Customer Facing Display
When a customer in Malaysia scans the QR code using the camera app on your Customer Facing Display:
If they have the Beep App or Touch 'n Go eWallet App installed, the app will open for them to sign up.
If they do not have either app, a signup page will automatically open in their phone's web browser (like Chrome or Safari) for them to join instantly.
In the Philippines and Thailand, your customers can scan the QR code on your Customer Facing Display using any QR code scanner and their preferred mobile browser.
Refer to this guide for instructions on how to enable these settings.
2. Scan the QR Code on your Receipts
No second display? No problem. Your customers can still register as a member by scanning the unique QR code printed on their receipt using:
the Beep App,
any QR scanner and their mobile browser, or
the Touch 'n Go eWallet App (in Malaysia only).
3. Scan the QR Code Displayed at your Store
Your unique Membership Sign-Up Links and QR Codes are now automatically generated for you in BackOffice!
For Online Use and Marketing Collaterals:

Once scanned, they’ll be directed to fill in their details, and done! They’re officially part of your Membership program.
4. Visiting your Unique Membership URL
Promote your Membership program on your social media accounts or your website by sharing the sign-up link described above. It's even easier for your customers to sign up!
5. Ordering via the Beep App online or in-store via Beep QR Order & Pay
When a customer places an order online through the Beep App, either for delivery or self pick up, and completes the payment, they automatically join your Membership program.
If you're using QR Order & Pay in your store, customers will also automatically join your Membership program upon successful payment of their order.
In both cases, your customers can use the following:
the Beep App,
any QR scanner, and
their mobile browser.
How does Membership work?
Tiers are the backbone of your Membership program. They’re designed to reward your customers as they keep coming back. The more they shop, the better the perks. By creating different tiers, you can offer exclusive benefits and incentives that grow with a customer’s loyalty and engagement.
Climbing the Tiers
Everyone starts at the base tier – the Member level. It’s the heart of your loyalty program. As customers shop and earn points, they move up through the ranks, unlocking more exclusive rewards along the way.
You can make each tier special with benefits like:
Higher points-earning rates – Reward loyal customers with more points per purchase as they climb the tiers.
Cashback offers – Give back a percentage of their spend as points or store credit.
Exclusive discounts – Offer bigger savings on select products as customers reach higher tiers.
Tier-specific promotions – Create personalized promotions just for each tier to keep them engaged.
Price Book – Set different prices for specific products depending on the customer’s tier, giving them even more reasons to shop.
This system keeps your customers coming back for more while strengthening their loyalty by adding more value at every level.
Earning Points Made Simple
Your points-earning ratio is a key piece of the puzzle. It determines how many points a customer earns based on their total spend. Here’s how it works:
Example 1:
If your ratio is RM1 = 10 points and the order total is RM9.80, StoreHub rounds it down to RM9 (ignoring the cents).
Points earned: RM9 x 10 = 90 points.
Example 2:
If the ratio is RM1 = 2 points and the order is RM2.50, it rounds to RM2.
Points earned: RM2 x 2 = 4 points
Rewards That Keep Them Coming Back
Your Membership program offers three main types of rewards:
New Member Reward – A welcome gift for joining the club.
Points Reward – Redeemable rewards from the Points Shop using earned points.
Birthday Reward – A little something special ahead of their birthday to make them feel valued.
These rewards can be anything from a percentage off a total purchase to a free item (like 100% off a specific product). You can also create a sense of urgency by setting expiration dates, encouraging members to redeem their rewards before they’re gone.
Why Enrolling Customers Matters
A membership program only works if people actually join, and the more members you have, the more valuable your program becomes.
That’s why enrolling customers isn’t just a backend step, it’s one of the most important moves you can make to start building loyalty.
Every scan, every sign-up, every QR code placed in the right spot helps turn a casual buyer into a returning customer.
Here’s why this matters:
It builds your customer base – With every new member, you grow a list of engaged customers you can market to, reward, and build stronger relationships with.
It unlocks lifetime value – Enrolled members are more likely to return, spend more, and redeem rewards, driving more revenue over time.
It turns everyday visits into loyalty moments – By making enrollment seamless (QRs on receipts, displays, online orders), customers join without friction and feel rewarded from day one.
It supercharges your marketing – With a growing member base, your campaigns via Engage become more impactful, targeting the right people at the right time.
It sets the stage for better in-store performance – Store-specific links help you track which branches are driving sign-ups, so you can double down on what’s working.
Make it easy for customers to join wherever they are.
Place your membership sign-up links and QR codes wherever it makes sense:
Near the cashier or pick-up counter
On printed receipts
In your social media bios
On your website or e-receipts
In your in-store signage or menu holders
Every customer touchpoint is a chance to convert a one-time visitor into a loyal member. Don’t let it go to waste.
