Troubleshooting: How to Troubleshoot iMin POS Register

This guide will help you fix any issues that you may face with your iMin registers.

  • Ways to solve the problems that you may encounter with your iMin D1 and D4 POS registers.


Important Notes

  • If you sell via Beep QR and Beep Delivery, StoreHub recommends that you use a LAN connection for more stable Internet access.

  • StoreHub also recommends that you use a StoreHub router to ensure the most stable connection for your business.


POS register not connecting to WiFi / Connected but no Internet connection

1. Ensure that your POS system is set to the region you are based in (MY, PH, TH); and the time and date are also correct.

2. To do so, head into your Settings menu,

3. Scroll down to "Date & Time",

4. Then choose the time zone you are in.

5. If your POS is connected using a LAN cable, ensure that the WiFi setting is turned off.

6. You can do this by heading into your Settings menu, and tap WiFi"

7. Then set the toggle off.

8. If your POS is connected via WiFi, ensure that you have chosen the 2.4G network and no LAN cables are connected to your device.


POS register unresponsive / device frozen for extended periods

1. Hold down the power button for 12 seconds to shut down the POS register.

2. If that fails, perform a factory reset using the steps below.

3. How to reset perform a factory reset:

I. Hard resetting the iMin D4

1. If you’re using the iMin D4, locate the power button and reset hole on the side of the register.

2. Insert a straightened paper clip or pin into the reset hole while pressing the power button simultaneously for three seconds.

3. Your display will go dark for a moment, and after a while, a menu will appear showing a list of options.

4. Scroll through the list by tapping on the screen, then select Wipe data/factory reset by pressing the power button.

II. Hard resetting the iMin D1

1. Press the volume up (+) button and power button simultaneously and hold them for five seconds.

2. The display will go dark for a moment and a menu showing a list of options in Mandarin will appear.

3. Select the last option on the list to perform the factory reset.


Unable to turn on the POS register

1. Ensure that the power cable is attached securely to the POS register.

2. If the plug is connected to a power extension, remove the POS register plug and connect it to a wall socket to ensure an uninterrupted power supply.


Unable to access iMin App Store

1. Head to your Settings page to ensure your region, date, and time settings are correct.

2. Restart the device.

3. If the app store still appears blank, identify your IPv4 address by accessing this website here and take a screenshot.
