What is a Customer-Facing Display?


1. The Customer-Facing Display is a secondary screen to display orders and promotions.

2. This requires the main device (POS Register) and a secondary device (iPad or Android Device)

3. With a customer-facing display, you're able to show:

  • Ordered items

  • Total amount

  • Customer information

  • Store Credit Balance



Which devices are supported?

To use the Customer-Facing Display, you will either need:

  • iPad 6th Generation and above.

  • Android device is running on Android 8.0 and above.


How do I use the Customer Facing Display?

To start using this feature, you must first meet the following requirements.

Requirements and Steps

1. On the Main Device, download the StoreHub POS - Point of Sale app (must be at least version 1.6 and above).

2. On the secondary device, download the StoreHub Customer Display app (v2.0.3 and above); via the Apple App Store.

3. Ensure that both main and secondary devices are connected to the same WiFi network.

4. On your main Register, open the StoreHub POS app, go to the Menu, and then tap Settings.

5. Tap Customer Display, and toggle on Enable Customer Display.

6. There is a list of steps listed on this screen, take note of the IP address listed in Step 3


Setting up the Customer-Facing Display

1. Open the StoreHub Customer Display app on your secondary device.

2. Tap Link Manually to IP Address.

3. Key in the IP address that you have noted down before.

4. If successful, you will see the orders made on the main device appear on the secondary device.

Notes:

  • If you intend to switch off your customer display iPad or Android device for the day, you may do so and repeat the steps above the following day.

  • If the CFD app is not connected to your Register, tap Link Manually to IP Address; then enter the IP address from your Register.

  • It takes about 60 seconds for multiple images to cycle.

  • It takes about 2 minutes of inactivity for the picture to become a full-screen screensaver.


Setting up content via the BackOffice

Only perform this step if you have not set up your customer display content in the BackOffice.

1. Set up your Customer-Facing Display Ads in your BackOffice by going to the Promotions drop down menu, then clicking Customer Display.

2. If you haven't made one yet, click on + Add Customer Display Ads

Note: If you have an existing one, you may click on it.

3. You may edit your Customer Display Ads; such as putting a name, which stores to apply it to and also put either an image or text.

Note: The images should ideally be 400px in Height and 600px in Width.

4. Once you're done, click Save and sync your iPad.
