What You Will Learn In This Guide
How to import CSV files into your BackOffice to manage stock-taking.
Important Note
For stores with large inventories, using StoreHub’s CSV import can make managing items a more efficient process.
Stock Take
1. At your BackOffice, click the Stock Management title page
2. Click Stock Take, and click +Start Stock Take
3. Then, click Export Uncounted Items; your list of items will start downloading
4. Open the downloaded file using a spreadsheet editor (Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, etc.); you will see that the file consists of all your products with their details.
5. Update the 'counted quantity' column, and save the file once you’re done.
Notes:
If you remember the SKU of your product, instead of downloading the full list of your products, you can just download a blank template and key in your products.
To do that, at your Stock Take, select "Import Items by CSV", and click "CSV template" to download it.
6. Open the downloaded template, and delete the Sample Product row.
7. Once all changes have been made and saved, you are ready to import the file back into the BackOffice
Go back to the Import Items by CSV page and click Select File; select the file you've just saved and click Import
8. If your items are successfully imported, the items will be on your Counted Items list.
9. Review the list, and click Save once you are satisfied.
However, if your items are not successfully imported, click Download this CSV to download and review the errors.
Open the downloaded CSV, and you should see the reason for the import failure. Fix the errors at the original file, and try importing again.
Obtaining your Product ID
When filling up your Stock Take template, each product requires a Product ID. Attaining it can be done in two ways:
