What is Static IP?

A static IP address refers to a fixed IP address assigned to a POS register that remains constant. Unlike dynamic IP addresses, it does not change each time the device connects to the internet. This consistency promotes improved network management and stability for your main register, benefiting the following feature:

Configuring Static IP

The steps to set a Static IP vary depending on your POS Register model. Refer to the list of models and their corresponding steps below.

iPad Settings

1. On the iPad, go to Settings and look for the WiFi.

2. Scroll down and tap on the Configure IP and select Manual.

3. On the Manual IP section, update the IP address as follows; then hit Save.

iMin Devices Settings (D1 or D4)

1. On the homepage of the iMin POS Register, look for the Settings icon.

2. Tap on the Network and Internet; then tap on Ethernet.

3. Tap on Ethernet again, and select Static.

4. On the Ethernet Set, key in the information as follows; then click on Confirm.
