Customer: How to blast One-Time SMS

BackOffice's SMS feature allows you to blast SMS to easier promote certain seasonal promotions

Important Notes

  • This SMS feature is only available for Advance and Pro Plans. You can only use this feature if you are subscribed to StoreHub Engage.

  • You must specify a Brand Name for your Custom Campaign SMS messages. This is needed to meet messaging guidelines and helps prevent issues like messages getting blocked or penalty charges.

  • The character limit for one SMS is 156 characters (MY) & 160 characters (Other countries)

  • If SMS contains UNICODE, the number of characters allowed per SMS will be reduced to 66 characters (MY); and 70 characters (Other countries)

  • If the message contains more than the maximum number of characters allowed, the message will be split into multiple SMS.



How to Set Up Custom Campaign

There are two ways to set up your Custom Campaign.

1. From the Engage Page

  • In your BackOffice, click on Engage.

  • Go to the Custom Campaign section and click on the One-Time SMS Campaign.

  • This will direct you to the Customers page.

2. Directly from the Customers page.

  • Go to your BackOffice and click on Customers.

  • You will see the list of your customers.

  • Select the checkboxes next to the customers you want to send the SMS to.

  • Click Send SMS at the top of the list.

3. The Send SMS page will appear.

  • Enter the Brand Name you want displayed at the start of your SMS (e.g., "Jupo Store").

Note:

  • Choose a brand name your customers will easily recognize, so they know the message is from your business.

4. Once you are satisfied with your Brand Name and message, tap the Confirm button. You are done!


How to view your One-Time SMS insights

1. In your BackOffice, click on Engage again.

2. Go to Campaign Insights, and scroll to the bottom.

3. You will see a section called One-Time SMS Campaigns.

5. These are your insights - you can see details such Total Customer Reach, Total SMS Sent, and Estimated SMS Costs.

6. You can click on the View Details button to see a more comprehensive breakdown of your campaign.

7. Locate the Log section to a list of SMS messages you have sent in the past along with its Credit utilisation.

8. You can download your logs as an Excel or CSV file by clicking the Download button.

Notes:

  1. A single download can contain up to 5,000 logs only - downloading more will cause an error. Change the date filter at the top right of the page to reduce the number of logs being downloaded.

  2. If you download your logs as a CSV file and view it using Microsoft Excel, customer phone numbers will not appear properly. We recommend downloading your logs as an Excel file instead.
