What is Campaign Insights?

This dashboard offers you a detailed view of how your automated SMS campaigns are doing in terms of how much revenue you are generating, customer reach, SMS cost, and more.

Use this feature to tune improve future campaigns and bolster customer loyalty.

Accessing Campaign Insights

1. At your BackOffice, click on Engage and select Campaign Insights.

2. First, select a timeframe from which you would like to view the data.

Navigate to the top right corner of the display and click the calendar to select the date range.

Note: The default range is 60 days.

3. Next, you will see a summary of your campaign performance detailing the below data:

  • Total Revenue Generated: Earnings attained from returning customers

  • Total Customer Reach: Number of unique customers who have received an automated SMS

  • Total SMS Sent: Number of messages sent to customers

  • Total SMS Cost: Amount paid by you for the SMS messages sent

4. Below, you will see the SMS Campaign section where you will find every ongoing campaign that you have set up.

The statuses of each campaign are shown here as well:

  • Active: Your campaign is still running its course until the set date of completion.

  • Suspended: You have likely run out of SMS credits to continue the campaign; you can refer to this article here to learn how to top-up credits.

  • Paused: Paused campaigns can be resumed anytime, as long as there are sufficient SMS credits.

You can click View Details for more information on each campaign.

5. On this page, you have access to info such as bi-weekly revenue, rate of Return on Investment (ROI), and a log of customers that have been sent an SMS.

Note:

The ROI is calculated based on the sum of all transactions associated with the phone number 21 days after the SMS was sent.

Refer to the example below:

  • On 1st May, consumer makes a transaction of RM 10, 2 hours later, consumer receives The Welcome New Customer SMS.

  • On 7th May, consumer makes a second transaction of RM 20

  • On 19th May, consumer makes a third transaction of RM 30

  • On 30th May, consumer makes a fourth transaction of RM 40

Then the ROI calculated will be RM 50 (from the second and third transactions because it falls within the 21 days cycle after SMS was sent)

6. The campaign revenue log allows you to see the following details:

  • Customer Phone Number: Customer contact number linked to the transaction and the SMS

  • Revenue Generated: Transaction value

  • Revenue Date: Transaction date (within 21 days)

  • SMS Date: Sent date of the SMS that triggered the purchase

  • SMS Sent Log: View the message contents sent to each customer

  • Transaction: Click the View Details button to take you to the specific transaction page for that order.
