Set Up Google Analytics 4

1. Create a Google account and Google Analytics account.

Notes:

  • If you don't already have an account for a Google product, then create a Google account.

  • You don't have to use the Gmail account for anything other than signing in and out of Google Analytics.

  • Create an Analytics account after creating a Google Account.

2. Create or move a Google Analytics 4 property.

3. At the Admin Page, click on Data Streams on the Property.

4. Click into the property.

5. On the page of Web stream details, copy the Measurement ID.

6. At the BackOffice, look for Online Store and click on Store Setup; then click on the Tracking tab.

7. Paste the Measurement ID in the Google Analytics column and click Save.

Setting Up Google Analytics Events

The following events are automatically tracked on the Online Store.

A customer visited a page on your online store.

view_search_results

A customer viewed the search result page after performed a search

View Product

A customer viewed a product on your online store.

Add to Cart

A customer added a product to cart.

Initiate Checkout

A customer started the checkout process.

View Contact Details

A customer viewed the contact detail page in the checkout process

View Delivery Details

A customer viewed the delivery detail page in the checkout process

View Payment option screen

A customer viewed the payment options page in the checkout process.

Purchase

A customer completed their checkout.
