What Are Sales Reports and Why Are They Important?
Sales reports are powerful tools that show you how your business is performing.
They break down your sales data in different ways, helping you understand:
What sells best: Identify your most popular products or categories.
When you're busiest: See your sales trends by hour, day, or month.
How customers pay: Understand popular payment methods.
Employee performance: Track sales made by your team.
Overall business health: Get a clear picture of your revenue, discounts, and costs.
By regularly checking your sales reports, you can make informed decisions about inventory, staffing, promotions, and more, helping your business grow.
Important Notes:
Data Retention:
StoreHub's system keeps sales data for 2 years. If you need older data, you must export and save your reports regularly.
Cancelled vs. Refunded Transactions:
'Cancelled' transactions are not included in sales reports.
'Refunded' transactions are included in reports, but they reduce your total sales.
BIR Requirements (Philippines):
For merchants in the Philippines, all transactions entered in the POS must be included in sales reports. You cannot selectively include or exclude specific records.
