How to Set Up Google Review Management

Learn how to connect your Google Business Profile and set up Google Review Management.

StoreHub merchants who want to connect their Google Business Profile to the BackOffice dashboard to manage reviews, improve their online reputation, and save time handling customer feedback.

Overview

Google Review Management is an add-on that connects your StoreHub BackOffice directly to your Google Business Profile. Instead of switching between apps or tabs, you can view, reply to, and analyze all your customer reviews from the same system you use to run your store.

Note: Only selected Superbundle merchants have access to this feature

Your online reputation is just as important as your physical storefront. Here is why managing reviews matters:

Instead of manually reading every comment, our tool consolidates everything in one place and uses AI to help you reply faster.

Instead of guessing what your customers think- our system turns text comments into clear data, showing you exactly what is working (e.g., "Great coffee") and what needs fixing (e.g., "Slow service").


Key Features

1. Centralized Dashboard

See all your reviews from all your connected locations in a single list. You no longer need to log in to multiple Google accounts to check your feedback.

2. AI Powered Sentiment Analysis

  • It Analyzes the Comment Only: Reads the comment of the review. It intentionally ignores the star rating at this stage, so a high or low rating doesn't influence its understanding of the comment itself.

  • Identifies Topics and Assigns a Detailed Sentiment Rating: Breaks down the comment into different topics (e.g., "Service," "Value"). For each topic, it then assigns a specific sentiment rating from our 5-level scale.

  • Our System Calculates the Overall Sentiment: Finally, our algorithm calculates the final Overall Sentiment for the entire review based on the AI's detailed breakdown, assigning it one of the same 5 levels.

See how you stack up against the most popular businesses in your area. Our system automatically ranks you against competitors within a 1km radius so you know where you stand.

Step-by-Step Guide

Connect Your Google Business Profile

Connecting your profile is a simple, one time process that allows us to sync and analyze your reviews automatically.

1. From the dashboard, you will be prompted to Connect Google Business Profile. Click 'Connect'.

2. Review the Important Notice pop-up window and click 'Confirm' once you’ve verified the details.

Note: This is a reminder to use the correct Google Account and ensure full compliance with Google Business Profile API policies.

3. A Google sign-in window will appear. Sign in with the Google account that manages your business location and click 'Allow'.

Note: This process uses secure Google OAuth 2.0 to protect your information.

4. Select your business Google Account and click 'Continue'.

5. Select the specific business location(s) you want to sync and click 'Continue'.

6. Select your business industry type and click 'Confirm'.

Data Synchronization

You've successfully connected your Google Business Profile! Our system is now working in the background to prepare your dashboard.

Note:

  • We’re syncing your entire Google review history to ensure your Total Reviews and Average Star Rating are accurate when your dashboard is ready.

  • You can close this tab. The sync runs in the background, and we’ll email you once the process is complete.


FAQ

1. How do I disconnect or change my connected Google Business Profile?

This cannot be done in BackOffice yet. Please contact our customer care team to disconnect or switch profiles.

Important notes:

  • Only one Google Business Profile can be connected at a time.

  • If you disconnect, all synced Google data will be permanently removed within 30 days (Google API policy).

  • If you change profiles, all data from the previous profile will no longer be accessible.

2. How do I report inappropriate reviews to Google?

Reporting cannot be done through our add-on due to API limits.

Please report the review directly through Google's official review management tool and help guides. Refer to this Google Business Profile help article on how to report inappropriate reviews.

3. Can I connect to other review platforms, like Facebook?

Not yet. This version only supports Google reviews.

Facebook and other platforms are being considered for future releases.

4. Can I use this add-on for my business if my industry is not F&B or Retail?

Not effectively. Our AI model is currently trained only for F&B and Retail topics.
