Overview
This guide shows you how to use the promotion feature to run "Buy X, Get Y for FREE" deals. Please note that these promotions only work on your offline POS register and cannot be used for the Online Store, Beep Delivery, or QR Order & Pay.
Before You Begin
Ensure you are on a StoreHub Advanced or Pro plan.
Important: This promotion type only applies to offline POS transactions. It will not work for Online Store, Beep Delivery, or QR Order & Pay.
Step-by-Step Guide
Creating the Promotion
1. Log in to your BackOffice, click 'Promotions', then select '+ New Promotion'.
2. Tick 'Enable' if you want the promotion to start immediately.
3. Type in the name of your promotion.
Note: This name will appear on the POS Register when the promotion is applied
4. Select which 'Store' and 'Channel' (POS) your promotion applies to.
Note: POS Channel Promotion does not require a promo code; you may leave it blank.
5. Select the effective time frame for your promotion.
Note: If you leave the end date blank, the promotion will not end.
6. Under 'Discount Type', select 'Buy X Get Y For Free'.
Selecting Products and Saving
1. Select the products where the discount should apply by choosing a 'Category', 'Tag', or specific items.
Note: This promotion applies to items within your chosen categories or tags.
For example, if you set "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" for 'Food' and 'Drinks' categories, the lowest-priced item among any 2 items from those categories will be free.
2. Click 'Save' to finish your settings.
Note: You must sync your POS register after creating the promotion in the BackOffice
How the Promotion Apply on POS Register
If the promotion is set up based on example above. Since customers will need to purchase any 2 items from any of the categories (Food/Drinks) and the lowest-priced item among the 2 will be given a 100% discount.
The promotion can be trigger if:
1 Product from Food Category + 1 Product from Drink Category are added to the bill
2 Products from Food Category are added to the bill
2 Products from Drink Category are added to the bill
Note: It is compulsory to sync your register once the promotion is created in the BackOffice.

FAQs
1. Why isn't my "Buy 1 Get 1" working on my website?
Currently, the standard "Buy X Get Y" promotion is built exclusively for the offline POS register and does not apply to your Online Store or Beep Delivery.
To offer this deal online, you can use a simple workaround by creating a promotional bundle product in your BackOffice. This allows you to sell Buy 1 Get 1 items across both your online and offline channels seamlessly.
2. Which item gets the discount if I buy two different products?
The system will automatically apply the 100% discount to the lowest-priced item in the transaction that qualifies for the promotion under the Buy X Get Y Free.
