How to Open Shift

1. Sign in to your StoreHub app using your unique 4-digit PIN. Refer to this article for more details if you would like to learn more about Sign In/ Out.

2. Tap the Open Shift button toward the bottom right corner.

3. Enter your starting amount (the cash float), and tap Confirm. Your shift is now open!


How to Close Shift

1. Tap the 3 lines menu button on the top left-hand corner of your display.

2. Select Close Shift.

3. Select Close Register then a new screen will appear for you to enter the Closing Amount (the amount of cash in your cash drawer).

4. Tap on Confirm after entering your Closing Amount. Your shift is now closed!

If you want the cash drawer to open automatically when opening or closing shift, enable Open Cash Drawer When Opening and Closing Shift feature.

1) What is the difference between clocking in/out and opening/closing shifts?

  • Clocking in/out tracks the time at which an employee begins work, and this tracks their working hours.

  • Opening/closing shifts generate shift reports that track transactions including sales figures, refunds, and cancelled orders.

2) What is the cash float or opening amount?

This is petty cash for businesses to make changes for customers who pay using cash.
